Just this week I was tagged on the anniversary of this beautiful mini wedding at Kima Tulum. I always love seeing how couples make destination weddings their own, and this is such a perfect example. A chic intimate elopement in the middle of the jungle with, of course, our custom hand fans to keep the couple and guests fresh 😉
Planned and styled by the super talented Daniela Parra. With photos by Gabri Palmieri , who capture the atmosphere so perfectly — intimate, stylish and effortlessly tropical!

A Jungle Ceremony in Tulum
For this destination wedding, the design stayed simple and elegant, letting the natural surroundings do most of the work. The result feels modern, relaxed and very “Tulum”.
The palm trees, the ocean breeze and the warm light create the most incredible backdrop. Because of that, the couple could focus on details that felt intentional and meaningful rather than over-decorating the space.

Thoughtful Details for Guests
Small details were carefully chosen to complement the setting and create a relaxed yet elegant experience.
Since the ceremony took place outdoors, the couple chose our personalized palm hand fans for their guests. Not only did they help everyone stay cool, but they also became a beautiful detail during the ceremony.
One of our main goals in La Paso Bien is to create favors that are both useful and meaningful, especially for destination weddings. Where guests tend to leave behind favors that they are never going to use again or are cheaply made and brake easily.
Our custom hand fans are locally made by Mexican artisans. Guests can use them during the ceremony, keep them for the rest of the weekend celebrations, and take them home as a reminder of the trip.
For this wedding, the fans blended perfectly with the tropical setting and relaxed aesthetic of Tulum. Little details like this are what make a celebration feel thoughtful and memorable for everyone attending.

The Beauty of a Tulum Mini Wedding
In recent years, mini weddings and intimate destination celebrations have become increasingly popular. Couples are choosing quality time with their closest friends and family over large guest lists, creating meaningful experiences in beautiful locations like Tulum.
Derek and Ashley were originally married on 2015, however with Derek just enlisted in the Air Force and Ashley being a recent graduate they opted for a court house elopement. On their 7th year anniversary they decided to make a small celebration at Kima Tulum, with their family and closest friends.
Kima Tulum was the perfect setting for this type of intimate wedding. Nestled between the jungle and the Caribbean Sea, the venue provides a natural, sophisticated backdrop that requires very little decoration. The environment itself becomes part of the design. Magical and boho, it was a perfect match for what the couple had in mind.

With a smaller group of guests, every detail becomes more intentional. From curated welcome moments to personalized favors, these touches help create a celebration that feels both elevated and deeply personal.
